Hinton Wood House Timeline

‘Hinton Wood House’ was the primary home for the Talbot sisters during their time in Bournemouth.  It was located on Grove Road on the East Cliff very close to Bournemouth pier.  The house was built possibly between 1845 and 1855.  As given below, various directories and newspapers list ‘Miss Talbot’ (either Georgina or Marianne) as living there until their respective deaths, with a range of other occupants over the succeeding years until its demolition and replacement by the current block of flats named ‘Hinton Wood’.
