Facing the approach to St Mark’s Church is the parish War Memorial. Erected by public subscription it records the sacrifice of 23 men in the 1st World War. Sadly, a further 10 men would also lose their lives in the 2nd World War and their histories are chronicled here. Some of the burials are Commonwealth War graves and others are family tombs. They were:
