Arthur Lewis Crouch
Arthur Lewis Crouch was born in Southsea, Hampshire and baptised on the 9th of May 1909, at St Simon’s Church, Southsea. His father was Lewis Crouch and his mother Florence Crouch (nee Austin). In the census of 1911, he was aged 2 and living with his parents and older brother, Basil Henry Crouch in Kingston & East Southsea. In 1921, he was aged 12 years, 7 months and living at 10, Welch Road, Portsmouth with his parents Lewis (a printer) & Florence.
He was Leading Aircraftsman, number 1268765 in the RAF Volunteer Reserve.
In the December quarter of 1944, he married Ivy Abbot in Bournemouth.
A year later, on the 17th of September, he died aged 36 and on the 22nd he was buried at St Marks. He had been living at 25 Talbot Road.
