Arthur Lewis Crouch

Arthur Lewis Crouch was born in Southsea, Hampshire and baptised on the 9^th of May 1909, at St Simon’s Church, Southsea. His father was Lewis Crouch and his mother Florence Crouch (nee Austin). In the census of 1911, he was aged 2 and living with his parents and older brother, Basil Henry Crouch in Kingston & East Southsea. In 1921, he was aged 12 years, 7 months and living at 10, Welch Road, Portsmouth with his parents Lewis (a printer) & Florence.

He was Leading Aircraftsman, number 1268765 in the RAF Volunteer Reserve.

In the December quarter of 1944, he married Ivy Abbot in Bournemouth.

A year later, on the 17^th of September, he died aged 36 and on the 22^nd he was buried at St Marks. He had been living at 25 Talbot Road.
